It all starts with Humility

It all starts with humility.  What starts with humility?  With humility comes “wealth, honor, and life”[1].  With humility comes wisdom, salvation, and grace.[2]  We came to the knowledge of the saving truth of Jesus Christ through our child-like faith[3].  Thereby receiving God’s saving grace and eternal life.  When we let go of your pride and knowledge just as Nicodemus and the women at the well did, then we can receive the truth with an open heart.[4]  We receive not just life for eternity, but a full life too.[5]  We may not receive wealth as the world knows it, but we may lose everything we could ever want and ever dream, find everything we could ever need in His arms[6].  God loves the humble man, perhaps this is why John was “the disciple whom Jesus loved”[7]  Not that he walked in self-abasement, for such humility is false humility[8]. But that he had faith like a child.  Nevertheless, we are to clothe ourselves in humility.[9]  We are to consider others better than ourselves, allow others to go before us, in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control, without complaining or arguing.  “Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and he will lift you up[10]”  You will have honor. You will shine like the stars in the heavens[11].
