Abba, Father, you are my shepherd, and I shall not want (Psalm 23.1).  I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor her children begging for bread (Psalm 37.25).  So now, I cast all my cares upon you, because I know right well that you care for me (1 Peter 5.7).  I know that your burden is light, and in you I find rest, rest for my soul (Matthew 11.29-30).  Therefore, I will let go of my life, all that I love and hold dear (Luke 17.33), so that I may take hold of the high prize which you have set before me, your Son Christ Jesus (Phil. 3.14).  Therefore, I will walk in the ancient paths, where the good way is, and I will find rest for my soul (Jeremiah 6.16).  Amen.
